Studio JBS combines many years of experience in architecture, interior design, and exhibition stand design with particular expertise in the design of catering and event spaces. The first projects were developed in-house as operators and designers of restaurants and event spaces that also were published in magazines such as Gestalten and the 100 Most Beautiful Restaurants. Building on this experience, the studio now focuses on developing spaces that combine functionality and atmosphere, convey a clear design language, and tell stories.

In recent years, the studio has also expanded into residential design on behalf of clients—an area in which knowledge about how spaces function, how people move within them, and what makes a space special is actively incorporated into the design process. Inspired by nature and a love of the sea, this results in concepts that radiate both tranquility and vitality. The studio's work begins with the rough construction and extends to the finest details – right down to product design.

LIVING SPACE DESIGN
Studio JBS oversees large-scale renovations and extensions – from loft conversions to the complete transformation of apartments or houses. The focus is on restructuring spaces; experienced partners are brought in for classic interior design.

COMMERCIAL SPACES
When it comes to restaurants, cafés, or event spaces, Studio JBS focuses on two levels: (1) atmosphere for guests—how do visitors move through the space, what story does the place tell?; (2) functionality for operators—how can processes, workflows, and logistics be optimally designed?

EXHIBITION STANDS & SHOPFITTING
Studio JBS develops temporary and permanent spaces that bring brands and products to life. The focus is on materiality – from raw surfaces and aged wood to precise details. The result is exhibition stands and shopfitting concepts that impress with their feel and atmosphere.

CONSULTING & IMPLEMENTATION
In addition to conceptual design, Studio JBS also provides support during implementation: (1) management and coordination of its own trades; (2) integration of partners and specialists; (3) support during all construction phases until completion. This ensures that every concept from Studio JBS not only looks good on paper, but also unfolds its full effect in the space.
